We Inspire Happiness

Positivity spreads like wildfire. A happy, positive self can triple your creativity, increase your energy by a third, significantly boost intelligence and improve health. Can simple things and minor tweaks to habits inspire happiness in kids? Zycle is an experiment in inspiring happiness through the joy of biking.

We are a Washington DC area based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2012 to provide bicycles to low income and at-risk kids through bike recycling. This informal process continued effectively for several years and provided many an opportunity for an awesome new ride.

When we saw the joy in kids who receive a bike, we were inspired even more to make this possible. Such a small gesture can make such a huge impact in a kid's life.

The bike that began it all

Way back when, in 2011

This is the bike that started it all. When our young founder, TJ, was on a trip to Asia, he simply couldn't understand why some kids in that part of the world had nothing to play with and no bikes to ride on. On his return, he wanted to donate his then bike a Schwin Tiger to anyone who did not have one. His first donation was a brand-new bike on his birthday in 2012. Since that day we have assembled, collected, fixed and donated numerous bikes
