We are facing an unprecedented situation, unlike anything our country has seen before. Beyond the health impacts of the coronavirus, our economy has taken a big hit — businesses are closed, ride share operators are struggling, restaurants, bars and coffee shops face an uncertain future.
Many Americans in the DC Metro area are out of work and struggling to put food on the table. As hard as it sounds, this moment is not without hope. We will get through this. We will prevail. If each of us does a little bit and help someone in need, we can make a HUGE difference in someone's life.
Together, we can help people who are coping with extraordinary challenges, one meal at a time.
So, what are we doing?
Delivering Fresh Meals
Zycle is working with local community pizza shops to deliver freshly made pizzas to families who are in need and seniors who cannot venture outside. We deliver hundreds of meals a day in Fairfax county. We are using all our resources for this effort to make as many pizzas as possible, available to people in need.
I Want A Pizza
Pizza availability varies day to day and is on a first come first served basis. We are working diligently to make sure every request is served. We will order pizzas on your behalf from a local or national pizza shop. Zycle will prepay for the pizza and delivery. You must have an adult present to receive delivery.
To get your pizza
1. Enter your information in the Meal Request Form.
2. Ensure your address is complete (incomplete or incorrect addresses can't be delivered)
3. Your email address is important, you will receive a confirmation of the order, along with vendor and order number (for e.g. Dominos, McLean VA, order# 1234). Be sure to enter a valid email address.
4. You order will include a Cheese Pizza. Please check with the pizza vendor for ingredients or nutrition information if needed.
5. Select your preferred delivery window. Check all applicable. Zycle orders pizzas for delivery during three windows.
6. Please follow CDC recommended social distancing and contactless delivery practices.
7. If you have any questions or concerns with the order, please contact the vendor. Zycle is unable to help once the order has been placed.
8. Requests have to be same day and will close by 8pm
or earlier if we run out for the day. Don't worry, we will have more available tomorrow.
9. Requests received after 8pm will be processed the next day.
10. You will receive additional information with your confirmation email
If you can afford a pizza, please consider buying a meal
for a person in need and don't request one here. There are many people who are in need and let us help them together.
